Candy Crowley, Excellent Job Of Moderating Tonight's Debate! Obama Wins This One
- hhanks, CNN iReport producer
All I have is praise for CNN's Candy Crowley, anchor for 'State of the Union' on Sundays, for the way she conducted the debate tonight.
She was tough and willing to spar with Romney and the President over their time.
Romney didn't look like he was used to being told that his time was up.
Sparks flew over the Benghazi incident when Romney accused Obama of not having referred to it as an act of terrorism the day after following the event.
Crowley had apparently fact checked the details of the event and clearly said that the President was right.
This threw Romney off his game and he seemed back on his heels for the duration of the debate.
Obama looked steadily at Mitt Romney when Romney was giving his answer or rebuttal- instead of looking down.
Both men don't appear to respect the other and things quickly got heated. Candy kept her cool.
Then the President let Romney have it.
Obama called Romney out on politicizing the embassy attack. Obama called Romney's remarks offensive.
Romney was quite candid for a change on his immigration policies when he said there would be no amnesty program for undocumented workers under his presidency.
Romney earned no points from the Hispanic community on this one.
On women's equal pay, Romney never said during his answer that he agreed with the new law.
Obama called Romney out on the 47% remark during his last two minutes of the debate.
Romney left an opening wide enough for Obama to drive a hard 'left' uppercut to Romney's election momentum.
1-2-3...8-9-10..Romney dazed, a technical knockout had to be called by this iReporter in favor of Obama.
That finished Romney for tonight.
So, the score: Romney took round one and Obama takes tonight.
We'll see who wins the Foreign Policy Debate next Monday.
Congratulations to President Obama.
Americans that support you saw the fighter that they wanted tonight. Nice job!
Congratulations to Candy Crowley on your performance at tonight's debate and to CNN for a well staged and managed debate. Well done.
I'll need to continue to tune in to your show, 'State of the Union' on Sundays to see you bring this new feistiness to your show when you interview our lawmakers.
Hold them accountable.
I was wrong about you. You're tough on everyone -on both sides of the political aisle.
