    I have worn a Livestrong bracelet for the past 8 years. Lance Armstrong inspired me because of his amazing story of battling cancer. I first put it on because a very good friend of mine had lung cancer. I wanted to show my support for her and others that had cancer. My friend fought cancer for 4 years before she passed away. During that same period of time one of my student's mothers was diagnosed with cancer, so I bought bracelets for all my students to wear to show support for her. In 2010 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and that bracelet reminded me each day to stay strong and not give up. On Oct. 5th I celebrated my 1 year cancer free anniversary. This yellow bracelet has truly become a symbol strength and hope for me.
