    NIÑOS CELEBRAN EN EL MES DE LA PATRONA DE GUATEMALA LA VIRGEN DEL ROSARIO

     

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Pedro shot this video himslef and he owns the camera. He tells CNN that the patron of Guatemala is the Virgen of El Rosario and each year during the month of october the procesion begins at the Santo Domingo Cathedral. During the first Sunday of Ocotber there is a procession mainly done by adults and on the second sunday of the month there is a procession but for children Pedro says some 400 children participate in carrying the Virgin's statute for about 3 hours around the city and then returns to the cathedral. The prcesions is accompanied by a band of musicians that play religious guatemalan themes and sometimes the band plays more contemporary music. Pedro says that this ritual is a great tourist attraction for the city and that some 10 thousand people gather to celebrate the procession.

    Y se le da la participacion a los niños por parte de la Basilica del rosario Santo Domingo en la ciudad de Guatemala que con devocion se les enseña la fe
