    Lance Armstrong speaks out

    I Support Cancer Research

I wear my yellow bracelet with pride! A classmate of mine who I hadn't seen in 25 years contacted me when he found out I was diagnosed with cancer. Mark who had previously ridden the 100 mile Livestrong ride in Philadelphia wanted to ride for me. I was so humbled by this, words can not explain. Imagine after not seeing or hearing from someone for 25 years to suddenly get this call! Amazing! Needless to say Mark biked that 100 miles for me that August in Philadelphia, myself and about 35 friends and family members were there to cheer him on.
The point of my story is this, stories like this one are what make the Livestrong Foundation, bringing people together in a time of need, helping a person when they need it most. It's not about what Lance Armstrong did as a cyclist, it's what he does for people like me when we need it the most.
This is just a small part of what the foundation does. I hope people can see past the media hype over his cycling career and go on and support this awesome foundation!
