    Romney and my daughter

I voted for Obama in the laste election. This time I was kind of in no-man's land (DMZ) - I did not like many of his policies but he got a raw deal to start with. I actually liked Romney as Governor - he had a great record and he seems to be a good honest person. But then Romeny started talking about equal pay for women - the whole answer kind of threw me out of my chair - the binder full of women comment was bad but when he talked about somebody going home early so that they can cook - that was too much for me to digest (I am not a good cook). In 21st century in a developed country that statement is so primitive. I looked at my daughter who was playing on the floor next to me and decided that I will not vote for a man who does not treat my daughter as "equal" -
Many of you will question my judgement and make uncalled for comments but that statement about going home early to cook for her kids is deeply offensive - I do not want my daughter to be treated in that fashion.
Women will have kids (unfortunately we men cannot) and we have to adjust the society to accomodate that - we live in a male dominated society where women ultimately pay for having kids - but this society will change too.
Obama may not be the greatest president but he is giving women chance to change the society and it will not happen overnight. I will not vote for a person who does not think my daughter is equal.
I still believ Romney is a good person but his social values are still in 1950s.
