Early afternoon, Athens
A little past 12 noon, I went to Kifisia, suburb north of Athens to see how the people are reacting to the general strike today. The locals seemed unperturbed, some were at the cafes as usual. others in animated conversation, and some were enjoying the cool breeze of the garden.
The busses resumed operation. And the peripteros, small stores scattered along the streets were all closed in support to the strike.
I will try to go to central Athens where the action is, later.
