    Dalai Lama Visits Providence, RI

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     MarieSager photographed these images of the Dalai Lama visiting the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, Rhode Island, on October 17. While waiting in line, she says it was truly inspiring to see the amount of young people who came to hear the Dalai Lama speak.
    - Jamescia, CNN iReport producer

The Dalai Lama visited Providence, Rhode Island yesterday.  He spoke at the Convention Center to over 5,600 people, mainly students.
I went in hopes of possibly being able to get a seat,  but no luck.  I was fortunate though to meet two very nice ladies from Providence, Anta Tourney and Tracy Miller, who were part of those that had tickets but were turned away because of lack of space.  On the bright side,  we were fortunate to see the Dalai Lama drive by in a motorcade, so all was not lost.   It was broadcast on television, so no one would miss out on his talk.
I thank Anta and Tracy for their time and sharing their reasons for wanting to attend, to hear words of wisdom from the Dalai Lama on how to make this a better world.  PEACE
