I believe the President deserves four more years in office because of the outstanding job he has done. When he was running for President in August 08, like all politicians, he was making all kinds of promises to the people. What he did not expect was the perfect storm heading his way. We were all here and saw the headlines; Leman Brothers, Morgan Stanley, AIG Citi Bank, and many other big financial institutions, were all teetering on the brink of disaster. The stock market was under 7,700. The housing bubble busted with millions of home owners under water. The automobile industry needed restructuring to survive. An average of 500,000 people were losing their jobs per month from September to March the following year. In addition to that we were fighting two wars. How many Presidents do you know who came into office to so many crisis at the same time? It was an unprecedented scenario for any freshman President to face on day one. In addition to that Senate republican vowed to do everything in their power to see him fail. He handled it like a pro. Four years later, he's kept some campaign promises, the banks are profitable again, he saved the automobile industry, housing is starting to look up, the stock market is above 13,000, he's ended one war and winding down another, 39 months of job growth, and he killed the SOB that attacked America. Is everything the way we want it to be? The answer is no. But it is a hell of a lot better than it was in 2008 in spite of republicans attempt to sabotage his Presidency. Due to the phenomenal record of President Barack H. Obama, I became an American citizen for the sole purpose of casting my ballot for four more years.
This is a record for President Obama to be proud of and run on. Deal with it.
