Halloween Costumes From Days Gone By
Remember the days when you, as a child, could go to the local five and dime store to by one of these Halloween costumes? I think they cost around a buck back then. Not like today where the princess dresses and high tech robots etc cost around $40.00.
Did you ever have one of these type costumes? I remember how the masks bothered my eyelashes and how they made my face all sweaty.
My Mother was a real gung-ho Halloween person, the house was all decorated and the doorway was scary, she would answer the door in a witch costume and make scary noises so the kids would scream.
Since there were six of us kids, we really got a huge haul of candy which would last about 6 months since we were only allowed one piece a day LOL...true though.
What are your fondest memories of Halloween? I remember always being cold, there was no global warming back then :)
