    Autumn on Bowman Lake

A local Montanan casts his fly rod over one of Glacier National Park's best kept secrets, Bowman Lake. Although the third largest lake in the park, many visitors never get to experience the beautiful colors or peaceful fishing at Bowman, fearing the only entrance: a 6 mile four-wheel-drive only road out of the town of Polebridge, Montana, population 484. Locals say the two-hour drive out of civilization is well-worth a quiet day fishing on this spectacular lake, especially if you stop for hot coffee and a huckleberry bear claw at the famous Polebridge Mercantile.
