    THE FORK LIVES ON!!

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     jimginsd shot these photos Friday in the ongoing Fork in the Road saga in Carlsbad, California. After the story ran on CNN.com (and several local news outlets) the fork's creator, Chuck Carroll, told us he contacted the city and 'fessed up to my crime.' The fork has been turned over to the city's cultural arts office, which meets this week 'to determine its fate,' Carroll said.
    - dsashin, CNN iReport producer

The Fork in the Road:::: The Fork has lived to serve another day................I just spoke with the very original and creative " Chuck" the retired school teacher and father of The Fork. He tells me he spoke with the Carlsbad City Officials they told him The fork is in the custody of the Carlsbad Cultural Arts Office...They will be having a meeting to determine The Fork's future in light of the National Publicity The Fork has received...they will hopefully be considering a way to reinstall The Fork at its original location. In the meantime a new sign with a Shakespearean twist has appeared. And at least 10 plastic forks have also been attached to the sign closest to the actual fork in the road. We hope The Fork can be permanently displayed at it's birthplace the Fork in The Road AKA the intersection of Levante St and Anillo Way .... .....
