Durgotsav (Durga Puja) Shashti Celebrations in Delhi
Durga Puja is an annual Hindu festival in South Asia that celebrates worship of the Hindu goddess Durga. It refers to all the six days observed as Mahalaya, Shashthi, Maha Saptami, Maha Ashtami, Maha Navami and Vijayadashami. The festival marks the victory of Goddess Durga over the evil buffalo demon Mahishasura. Thus, Durga Puja festival epitomizes the victory of 'Good over Evil'. (Source: Wikipedia)
It is widely celebrated and enjoyed in India and abroad (including US/Canada) by people who admire the festival and it's colorfulness.
Here are some pictures and videos of the puja pandal (tent) alongwith cultural celebrations (Indian danceforms) from Shashti (i.e. 2nd day of 6 day long fest).
