Radical racists want Koreans ousted from Japan

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     tinsol captured photo and video of Japanese nationalists protesting for the ousting of Koreans from the country on October 21 in Tokyo, Japan. He says the protesting was orderly and peaceful, and does not know the reason why protesters were demonstrating for the ousting of Koreans from Japan. He says there is a sizeable Korean population in Japan. 'Traditionally, the Japanese have discriminated against Koreans and the general attitude has been that the nationalized Koreans were lesser citizens,' he said. 'I don't believe all Japanese people think this way, but if a Japanese young person were to decide to marry a Korean person then the parents might not allow it.'
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

There was a police escorted protest of sorts in Suginami ku Tokyo Japan. A group of nationalistic racists Japanese took to the streets shouting that they wanted Koreans to leave Japan- even nationalized ones. They were also holding a sign that read "yes pro-nuke" Its amazing to me that Suginami city officials would allow such open racist comments to be spoken over loud speakers. Today there was also a Korean festival held at the Suginami Korean school north of Asagaya station about 15 minutes walk from this parade. I live along the street wher the protest happened and was standing next to a Korean owned shop. The area has many Koreans living there. The Tokyo governor Shintaro Ishihara has been very outspoken with his views towards foreigners. http://www.japantimes.co.jp/text/nn20000414a4.html

Next week at the Koenji Fes there will be a film about nationalism and Korean xenophobia
