    Filipino Youth Celebrate Pedro Calungsod's Canonization

    Even though it was miles away from the Vatican City, the Parish Youth Ministry of Sto. Nino de Tondo Parish held a program in celebration for the canonization of Pedro Calungsod in Manila, October 21, 2012. Pedro Calungsod, now a saint, was proclaimed by Pope Benedict XVI among six others in Vatican City today.

     

    Pedro Calungsod who was a young Filipino missionary and catechist preached Christianity despite the risk of being persecuted. He showed how deep his faith was and his eagerness to make people closer to God.
