MESSAGE TO MITT ...in the SAND!
Channel 10 News in San Diego got it right today: "From the sands of La Jolla Saturday was a day of political activism for many San Diegans with 17 days left to go before the election."
Yes, Mitt Romney had a message written in the sand for him today. An estimated 50 politically-inclined beach-goers took to the beach right in front of Romney's posh La Jolla coastal home to send a message.
Back in 1968, Romney made a heart in the sand on a beach in France, with the words "I love Ann." Do not think the people out along the shoreline today were loving Mitt with their message.
"We decided that it would be cool to sort of replicate that (message in the sand) because what Mitt really seems to love is dodging taxes," said activist Martha Sullivan.
Sure enough. the group managed to eke out "I LOVE TAX DODGING" in big block letters and placed a picture of Mitt with a red line drawn through his mug at the top of the sandy statement.
Martha Sullivan said what many activists object to is "what they see as Romney's unfair approach to economic policy." It's this trickle-down economics that has been proven to not work," Sullivan told Channel 10 News. "If it had, we wouldn't be where we're at right now." Perhaps this message in the sand will "trickle down" to Mitt?
