CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Though his mother occasionally makes the trip herself with public transportation, davidwg49 says it meant a lot to her when he took her to Arlington National Cemetery to visit the grave of her partner who passed away last year. He captured this panoramic shot on Saturday, October 20. "My mother met him after the end of a 30 year marriage. I think she discovered true love with him. Their relationship lasted for 17 and half years until he died of cancer. She is having a hard time coping with his death," he says. "It was moving to see the deep affection she still has for him. For a beautiful warm fall day, the very popular cemetery was strangely empty. There was no one around us as far as the eye could see. It was very peaceful."
