Wulai Mountain outside Taipei, Taiwan
![]() |
This iReport is part of an assignment:
Severe weather |
I) Typhoon Sinlaku Taiwan Mountain Footage, Sun, Sep 14
I) Car Coming along the Wulai River Road, 4:30pm, Sunday, September 14.
For the third day of Typhoon Sinlaku’s lashing of Northern Taiwan, my friend, Kurt, and I decided to jump in a car to take a look at the start of the real damage to be – up in the local mountains. We traveled to Wulai Mountain, just South of Taipei City, to get an idea of how the river was holding up, and what we saw shocked us (as we knew the river level would only continue to rise over the coming 48 hours).
