    Humans in Zombieland

Welcome to Zombieland. Let's go sightseeing.

Almost all day long Mariupol is covered by choking smoke. It's emitted by ironworks and charcoal processing plants located right inside the city.

In Mariupol a number of cancer and lung diseases is above acceptable level.

Some people and their children started wearing respirators. Though respirators are not so efficient against emissions but it's just a tiny step to show others what they can do to express their disturbance and indignation.

Everyday a city web portal team makes posts about environmental situation in Mariupol. For example, http://www.0629.com.ua/news-22974.html There are lots of comments under those posts. They contain thoughts and opinions of all kinds.

On VKontakte* there was created a topic on a page of the one of the most popular TV channel — ICTV. Currently in contains 23 pages with a request to make a TV report describing an environmental disaster in Mariupol: http://vk.com/topic-28808624_27064190?offset=440 But ICTV authorities just keep silent as well as other biggest and influential mass media in Ukraine.

On the other hand, Mariupol is full of bigboards with preelection promises of a local candidate of a party in power. He states that a number of environmentally harmful facilities will be reduced when he will be elected, of course.

Our first iReport post gets lots of views and recommendations. Thank you for your understanding and support. Please keep recommending and sharing this info all over the web, people, communities and organisations.
