Light Years: Your view of space and stars |
Evening with the Orionids
Living in Tucson can be great for sky watchers. A short drive up Mount Lemmon allows for clear, dark skies, with the mountain itself blocking most of the city glow. Plus, the cooler temperatures this time of year make for a refreshing night of star watching.
This image was captured in the early hours on Oct 21. It was shot with a Canon 7D, and a very wide angle lens set for a 30 second exposure.
