Scenic drives of Vermont
We moved from Georgia to Connecticut last month and one of the very first things we wanted to do after moving here was to plan for our fall foliage drives. It was our first time and being in New England was a huge plus. We chose Vermont over New Hampshire, Maine and Connecticut because it was peak fall foliage around the time we wanted to travel. We drove along route 100 from Killington, South Vermont to Stowe in the north and culminated our trip at Mt Mansfield. The beauty on display enroute the drive cannot be put in words, nor can photos do justice! The drive took us through various towns, across small bridges, rivers and hills, the leaves had turned shades of yellow, orange and red and the weather was the way we wanted it, cloudy after a rain . Every 5 mins we had to stop to just soak in what was on display and take pictures. At the end of it all, we just wished that the colors remained forever. :)
