Unsung Heros
We all have been complaining lately about the large amount of political content being forced upon us. It's everywhere for every candidate. Who cares who's fault it is, or why it's there it is. At the heart of it all are people, regular people, trying to do a job in a tough economy. When we volunteer we give freely to a cause close to our hearts, but when you take a job you do your job for money you need to live on. For many of those working for the campaigns it is just that and like any project it is heading fast and furiously into the station.
Thanks goodness these folks do what they do. It may be a pain at a certain point but they do try to keep us informed for good or bad and often we forget to remember they are just doing their jobs.
I stopped into the Democratic Headquarters on my way home, a few days after the first debate. The group looked tired and the place a bit worn but they were pushing ahead to the next hurdle, I am sure the Republican office was much the same. These folks worked hard under a tight deadline to do the best they could for us .... and their jobs.
My thanks to Calvin, Shelly and Matt for taking a minute to talk to me!
