Autumn leaves 2012 |
Autumn Wine
- Jamescia, CNN iReport producer
White grapes are harvested between 7-9am daily in temperatures not exceeding 12C in order to maintain its sweetness while Red grapes are harvested only late evening after 5pm, preferably after a sunny day so that the grapes are nicely warmed by the sun to give its best flavors.
Simply a spectacular sight as we walked through the vineyards sprawled across the slopes and plateaus overlooking the Nahe Valley and witnessed the farmers pick the grapes with their grape-picking tractors.
