    Poem for Malala

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Teacher Barbara Biran, who looks after 6th graders in Saratoga, California, sent in this video to iReport of one of her young students reading out a specially composed poem for Malala Yousufzai, the Pakistani teenage education activist shot by the Taliban earlier this month. "I discussed with my class on Sunday - starting off with leading questions like: 'Do you value your education? Do you believe it is a right for everyone - no matter where or what gender - to have an education?'" she told CNN. "I asked if any of them had heard about Malala – none had - so I gave a brief overview of the atrocious act by the Taliban and that Malala is recovering in the UK. "I left it up to the class to decide what to do. A group made a video and [this girl] decided to write this poem. She created it in about five minutes." Biran said she was proud of the class's decision to send messages to Malala and wanted to share them with others. Check out more messages for Malala from iReporters and CNN users.
