Hurricane Ike |
Huntsville, Texas -- weary locals picking up water and MREs
Although Huntsville, Texas did not receive the disasterous trauma that Galveston did, we did receive our share of fright. The winds howled, and the electricity quit.
Many of the good folks in Huntsville pitched in and set up relief centers. The University Heights Baptist Church, coordinating with the Red Cross and Disaster Relief agency gave out food and water to folk who drove through the church's parking lot.
The last photo shows pallets of supplies stored on the church's back side.
