    Beirut Protests

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter renato70 shot these images of Lebanese flags thrust amongst the barricades outside the prime minister's headquarters in downtown Beirut on Tuesday. The flags had been put there during a protest following a car bomb attack in the city that claimed the life of the country's intelligence chief. "The atmosphere in Beirut is calm but there is still an overall sense of foreboding," he says. "My reaction to the bombings was, like most Lebanese, one of shock and disbelief that we had returned to something we thought was behind us." There have been concerns that the violence from Syria's bloody civil war could spill over into neighboring Lebanon.
