This iReport is part of an assignment:
    Why are you an independent?

    Why I'm an Independent voter.

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     blfp7850, 66, voted for Barack Obama in 2008 and George W. Bush in 2004. 'I am an independent voter because I believe in the spirit of America and how and why it was founded.'
    - dsashin, CNN iReport producer

I don't vote party lines because I don't always agree with either party Democrates or Republican. I'm not liberal, I'm not conservative. I'm independent and can make my own decisions. A President is only as good as the Senate and House of Representatives make him. So it's those people we should target during an election. The people of the United States have to remember three things and that's the Constitution, The Bill of Rights and defending our country. How do the people running for election represent those three items which this country was founded on.
