This iReport is part of an assignment:
Why are you an independent? |
INDEPENDENT. NOT UNDECIDED
Being an Independent gives me choices. Choices most people who are registered as die hard Republicans, or die Hard Democrats don't usually make. Their choice is clear, for what reason, I don't understand. If they were willing to budge on certain issues, we wouldn't be in the situation we are in this country today. Bipartisan decisions are necessary to create a better United States.
While we're on the topic of decision making, why should we give two hoots about some of the politcal topics that are present today? Are they really making our lives any better or worse? Take abortion, for example. What good is it for one person to say its wrong for another person to have an abortion? Is it because that religious teaching tells us its wrong to end a life? Why then is it ok to kill a murderer for killing someone else? The only people who are affected by this are the people involved. If you aren't directly affected by these actions, why have an opinion on them? That's just my opinion.
I implore you, America, to be free thinkers. Be an Independent.
Thank you for your interest.
