Why are you an independent?
Not necessarily independent
I identify more with the Green Party. The Democrats and Republicans are nothing more than shills for big business and big banks. What we effectively have here is a one party system masquerading as a two party system. If you look at the past 150 years, our country has been controlled by the Democrats and Republicans. Just look how well it's turned out. All they do is point fingers at each other and do not actually solve any problems. The reason for that is that they are both at fault equally. They are two parties that need to be cast out and it's time for someone else to give it a try. It certainly couldn't be worse than what we have now. We now have a president that is essentially continuing the failed policies of his predecessor who was one of the worst presidents in U.S. history. His counterpart is a man who made himself wealthy on the backs of others misfortune. He made money by closing companies and leaving people jobless. Is this really what people want? The Green Party focuses on the environment, energy independence on clean energy, not bending over backwards for corporations, and education. I will be casting my vote for Jill Stein on this election day.
