A piece of Italian history - part second

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     These grim faced Roman soldiers must have sparked some concerned looks from passers by, if these images by iReporter giannantonio are anything to go by. The pictures show Italians in elaborate, painstakingly recreated ancient Roman costumes who perform mock battles to educate visitors in his home province of Reggio Emilia about life in Roman times. Those who take part are from all walks of life, from teachers to bus drivers to enthusiastic students - "all simple everyday people who love history", he says. Each soldier represents a different region of Italy, hence the slightly different costumes, and all take Roman names such as Rufus or Titus. Check out more images of Roman soldiers on the march.

Ok. These are, I hope, more dynamic photos of the exhibition of ancient Rome soldiers where it possible to see the entire costums and the environment (obviously the today environment!) These exhibition was made in Reggio Emilia, italian town founded by the ancient Romans about 183 b. C. (ancient name Lepidum Regium).
