    'Superstorm' Sandy: Your stories

    More from 1dro

    Sandy beats up Central Florida

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     1dro told me, 'When strong gusts of rain suddenly struck a window or wall the noise startled everyone. Pets scurried into nooks to hide or dodge behind their parent’s legs.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

Feeder bands of Hurricane Sandy hit Central Florida driving winds at angles of 45 to 90 degrees.

Tomorrow will see stronger winds and rains with school being called off in some counties. Rain beats against homes then ebbs enough for photographers to step outside for some snaps before retiring to the dryness of shelter.
