According to a video released by CBS news President Obama knew Benghazi was a terrorist attack. In the interview he did with Steve Kroft of “60 Minutes” on September 12, the President says that he is suspicious that “there are folks involved in this who were looking to target Americans from the start.”

Okay….if we knew this then why on earth did the President’s chief spokesman, Jay Carney make the following statement on September 14th?

CARNEY: We also need to understand that this is a fairly volatile situation and it is in response not to United States policy, and not to, obviously, the administration, or the American people, but it is in response to a video, a film that we have judged to be be reprehensible and disgusting. That in no way justifies any violent reaction to it, but this is not a case of protests directed at the United States writ large or at U.S. policy, this is in response to a video that is offensive to Muslims.

Why did Ambassador Rice say: “Our current best assessment, based on the information that we have at present, is that, in fact, what this began as, it was a spontaneous – not a premeditated – response to what had transpired in Cairo,” on “This Week”?

Or say on Meet the Press Sept. 16th
"Putting together the best information that we have available to us today, our current assessment is what happened in Benghazi was in fact initially a spontaneous reaction to what had just transpired hours before in Cairo, almost a copycat of the demonstrations against our facility in Cairo, prompted by the video."

Or say on CBS' "Face the Nation" Sept. 16th:
"We do not have information at present that leads us to conclude that this was premeditated or preplanned."

This is interesting because Rice’s account directly contradicted that of Libyan President Mohamed Yousef El-Magariaf, who said this weekend that he had “no doubt” the attack was pre-planned by individuals from outside Libya. “It was planned, definitely, it was planned by foreigners, by people who entered the country a few months ago, and they were planning this criminal act since their arrival,” Magariaf told CBS News.

Does anyone else find it interesting that CBS sat on this film while the questions poured in?

Why would they do that?

Media bias possibly?

To protect the president re-election bid?

Did they release the footage now to make the president’s claim he knew it was terrorism right away seem genuine?

So, if the president knew, why did they use the video for cover?

Why was the film maker publicly arrested?

Why was his arrest filmed and projected all over the world?

Someone tell me why on earth our the Obama Administration would mislead the American people?

Was it just politics…pretty ridiculous since the Obama Administration accused Mitt Romney of politicizing the whole mess.
