    Hurricane Sandy: The Bahamas - Morning After

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Jorjani captured a video one day after the Hurricane Sandy passed over the Bahamas, on October 26. 'The winds were intense all night long. We were without power, and it was hard to see what was happening outside. Dogs were howling and the children were kept up all night,' she said, describing the storm as it passed over her home in Nassau. She says they were without power for approximately 12 hours. She also says they are still in recovery mode, dealing with fallen trees and water damage. 'Tropical Storm Isaac hit us earlier this season, but Hurricane Sandy was much worse, and it came so late in the season -- Sandy really snuck up on us,' she said.

    Power went out yesterday evening and was just now restored. During the night the winds howled and tree limbs and leaves flew around our neighborhood. The tree I was worried about falling is now completely stripped of foliage, but at least it is still standing!

    My mother wants to go for a neighborhood walkabout, since it is her first time to The Bahamas and this is proving to be a very exciting trip! We'll take video along the way so the East Coast knows what to expect!
