Calling early voters |
Consistent Solid and Long-lasting
If a thing or a process is going to be long-lasting and solid it takes time to research, plan, and implement. When you decide to purchase a new car you do the diligence necessary to make sure you are buying a car with the best gas mileage, the best price, the most reliable, best trade in value, and the best warranty. Normally, you would not walk into a car dealership and chose a car based solely on the color of the car. You put in the time and energy necessary to make the right choice. Once you buy the car you also put in the time, money, and energy necessary to maintain that car. It is same with everything in life from buying a car to choosing a spouse to choosing a President to putting a failed economy back together. Some of us would not run a back ground check on a potential suitor or spouse but most of us do put in the time necessary to get to know the person and decide if this is the person we want to spend the rest of your life with. The same rules apply when you decide what candidate to vote for. You look at how consistent the candidate has been with the words that he/she has spoken throughout his/her political or private career, have they keep their promises, have the policies they have put into place last into the future, are those policies fair for everyone, and which candidate do you trust. A President must be someone you can trust. Without trust, there is nothing. President Obama has kept his promises to the degree that he could while working with a congress that would not pass even one of the President’s bills. President Obama has kept us safe and I trust him to continue to keep us safe. The President will not take us to war until after a lot of thought and consideration and until after every other option has been tried. War with any country will be President Obama’s last resort. Over the past four years this President has done everything possible, considering the do nothing congress, to increase job growth. The President has added over five million jobs in spite of the do nothing congress. We are on a path to recovery and the economy is better than when the President took office. I trust President Obama but I DO NOT trust Mitt Romney. If Mitt Romney is President the following will happen:
1.We will send arms into Sierra without knowing who we are sending them to
2.We will bomb Iran and we will be in another middle east war with only Israel as a partner
3.We will NOT leave Afghanistan by the end of 2014
4.If the congress and the senate continues to have the same number of Democrats and Republicans Romney will sign a bill to make All abortions illegal, including rape and incest. The only exception will be if the life of the mother is in question.
5.Romney will appoint two very conservative judges to the Supreme Court which will change the court to be extremely conservative for the next decade
6.Medicare will change, even for current recipients, to a voucher system
7.Medicaid will be turned over to the States and Republican Governors will make it almost impossible for recipients to qualify.
8.The richest among us will receive a tax cut in the form of more deductions for money lost in the stock market and for foreign investments. Romney along with the Congress will say they are giving the middle class a tax cut but in actuality the middle class will be paying more because the mortgage interest deduction will go away.
9.Romney and the Republican Congress will get rid of Obamacare and those receiving Medicare will be paying more
10.Social Security recipient’s benefits will be cut and Social Security for future recipient’s will almost be non-existent
11.Voting laws will be changed, making it harder for people of color, young people, and senior citizens to vote
12.Our debt will go up due to the Romney tax cuts for the rich and because Romney will put more money into the defense department
13.Our veterans coming home from current wars in Afghanistan and all future wars will NOT have the benefits they have now. Romney will cut the benefits President Obama has put into place for our veterans.
14.The Education Department will be slashed and turned overly completely to the States. The only thing Romney will do as afar as education is concerned is to put policies into place to slowly get rid of public schools and more money will go to schools for profit including religious schools.
15.Recipients of federal money for children with disabilities will be cut or go away completely
16.Government loans for college education will be reduced and interest rates will go up
17.Romney and congress will eliminate the regulations on Wall Street and the stock market which will mean another virtual economic cliff
18.The credit rating of the United States will be downgraded again because of the non-existent Wall Street regulations
19.Women, children, the disabled, the unemployed, and senior citizens will suffer more than ever before because all their safety nets will be cut
20.The middle class will be the new poor and the poor will be the new insignificant (in Romney’s opinion)
21.Romney will NOT do anything about jobs going overseas
22. Obamacare will be overturned and thousandsof people will not be able to afford health care and the emergency room will continue to be used as a doctors office and health care cost will continue to rise
Romney and the Republican Party scare me and I do not trust them with the future of this country.
President Obama has more to do to get the economy and jobs back on track because it took the Bush Administration 8 years to get us into the mess we are in and it will take President Obama more than 4 years to fix it. The President’s jobs bill will put thousands of people to work. The congress and senate must step up and think of the country rather than their own political agendas. Some people say they vote for the person, not the party, and the party affiliation does not matter. I do not believe that theory. In our current day politics party affiliation does matter. The Republican Party today is not the Republican party of Lincoln and Reagan. The Republican Party is based on ideology, not what is best for the country. If we want a country that is fair for everyone, a country that considers war as a last resort, a country that takes care of our veterans, a country that will respect a woman’s right to make her own decisions about health care and her body, a country that will make sure there is a safety net for each of us if we need it, a country that will reduce our debt in a responsible manner, a country that will NOT turn Medicare into a voucher system, a country that will insure our children are ready for a global society where education is a priority, a country that will plan for the future and take care of the problems of today, a country that will continue to regulate Wall Street so that we do not have another virtual economic cliff, a country that will find a solution for Social Security and Medicare for our children and grandchildren, a country that will protect our voting laws for everyone, a country that will make the tax laws fair for the middle class, the poor and the rich, a country that will continue to increase job growth and will penalize those companies that send jobs overseas, a country that will tell its citizens the truth, a country that will appoint judges to the Supreme Court that will follow the law and the constitution regardless of their politics, and finally a country that does not cover up and mislead the public, then we should vote for President Obama and we should vote for democratic candidates for the senate and congress.
