This iReport is part of an assignment:
Calling early voters |
Voted October 23, 2012
Figured I'd follow the exact guidelines first and then make a comment at the end.
Name: Mike
Age: 59
City, State: San Antonio, TX
Why you chose to vote early: Already had enough information to make an informed decision from my local contests to the National Election.
Who you voted for: Romney / Ryan
The biggest issue for you in this election: The economy. If that doesn't get fixed, and fixed right, all else will fall away.
I have voted in every election possible since I turned 18 back in 1970. I consider this to be a sacred trust between me and my government. Yes, I am a Conservative and I vote mainly Republican, but have been know to vote for Democrats and Liberals in the past (and currently if truth be told). I have voted from overseas when deployed, and have voted by mail in my home state when stationed in other states for my 21+ years in military service.
While I will discuss and debate with anyone about politics, if you do not vote, if you choose to sit home and then bitch and moan about the state of affairs in this country when you did nothing to "show your voice", in my personal opinion, you have zero right to complain.
Get out and vote; perform this sacred right of ours that many around the world are denied.
