    Household Debt Going Up , Sugar Consumption Going Down

     
    On the first business page of today's New York Times there are two stories. One talks about sugar consumption in the US going down and the implication that obesity rates should decline from that. Currently per capita consumption of sugar is over 90 pounds per year.

    In the other story it talks about how our consumer driven economy should start getting better as more Americans are accepting more debt then they have in the past few years. Folks instead of paying off their debts as they were are not going further into debt. Good for our economy , bad for American families.
