This iReport is part of an assignment:
Why are you an independent? |
Independent of the Corporate Parties? Always!
Not everyone is Independent because they're undecided. Many Independents are so because, while not averse to electoral politics, they know neither corporate party will ever have their support.
When people ask who I vote for, I say neither the Democrats or Republicans. If I say I'm "Independant" they may be mislead into thinking that I'll ultimately vote for a Romney or Obama ticket. That's not true. I've seen the Repubalican Party over the past 12 years. I've seen the Democratic Party over the past 4 years and I believe on the basis of action that I know what the Democrats are about.
So am I Independant? Sure, in the eyes of a third party that is vying for my vote! However, I'm quite decided on our two corporate parties.
