Kids talk about the Presidential elections
- hhanks, CNN iReport producer
After seeing my son's interest in politics in 2008 (when he was six) and his animated discussions with his friends, I interviewed a few kids about their thoughts on the election.
Here is round two for the 2012 Presidential elections. It started with family, friends, neighborhood kids and expanded to kids that I didn'd know at farmers' markets and malls.
What fascinates me is how media coverage of the presidential elections, parents' preferences and peer views influence what kids think about the elections, the candidates and important issues facing America today. Its heartening to see the natural underlying compassion in these kids.
