Yet again...another massacre
The fire that started in a plastic bag manufacturing factory late Saturday rendered the structure of the building hollow. To make the situation worse the fire first caused the five story building to collapse and then spread to the adjoining factory also. The loss was worth millions as production units along with chemicals and other raw materials were burnt to ashes. This fire was rated as a third degree fire by the fire brigade.
The fire brigade reached them in time. A key phenomenon which was highlighted in this fire was that “attempting to put out the fire with water was useless as chemical fires can only be extinguished using a special kind of a fire retardant foam”.
The dedication and determination of our fire fighters has been highlighted to maximum, where people run away from fire, these heroes run towards it. Where people enjoyed and feasted our heroes extinguished the way into the fire. Where people were worried about their losses, the fighters were concerned about saving the people and property of others.
The essentials of fire safety are a very important element whose importance needs to be communicated to everyone around.
