    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     BenVonK captured this footage from Long Beach Island, New Jersey, with hopes that viewers would understand 'how strong this system is, even well before landfall.' He watched the storm for about 45 minutes, observing 'menacing seas and skies Sunday afternoon as gusting, cold rains commenced around 2pm.' He shot this footage shortly before a mandatory evacuation was ordered for the area.

    PLEASE NOTE: Sandy is an extremely dangerous storm. We urge iReporters to take caution when documenting the storm and follow local guidance. For storm information specific to your area, please monitor warnings issued by your local National Weather Service forecast office.
