    Flooding at the Oceanside LIRR Station

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     GTunkel is documenting how Hurricane Sandy is affecting Oceanside, New York. Because of the flooding his family has began moving some of their possessions to the second floor of their house and have already moved cars away from the incoming water.

    PLEASE NOTE: Sandy is an extremely dangerous storm. We urge iReporters to take caution when documenting the storm and follow local guidance. For storm information specific to your area, please monitor warnings issued by your local National Weather Service forecast office.

    At just about noon, after the morning high-tide period, flooding remains an issue in Oceanside, NY. The Long Island Railroad station has taken on water, and it has crossed over toward residential neighborhoods.
