Coney Island Prepares for Hurricane Sandy

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     KimberDale's home in Coney Island, NY, is in the evacuation zone, but she's decided to stay. 'I stayed for Irene too. It was exciting, but we didn’t have any damage. I know this is going to be a lot worse,' she said. She took photos of people walking along the boardwalk yesterday, noting that Ruby's on the boardwalk was hosting a hurricane party last night. 'A lot of people, myself included, were walking on the boardwalk and beach. The cops were driving by and asking people to leave because the beach was closed.'

PLEASE NOTE: Sandy is an extremely dangerous storm. We urge iReporters to take caution when documenting the storm and follow local guidance. For storm information specific to your area, please monitor warnings issued by your local National Weather Service forecast office.
