Torrance celebrates 100 years
Sunday, the City of Torrance in Southern California culminated their 10 month long celebration of their Centennial.
Founded on October 21, 1912, Torrance began celebrating on January 1, 2012 with various events. Yesterday was the Birthday Bash which was held at Wilson Park and included fun for the entire family.
There were speeches and certificates given to the city by our local representatives in congress, as well as live music, food trucks, arts and crafts, games and a petting zoo.
The day ended with the release of 100 white doves and a display by a parachute team that came down with large flags; a Centennial flag, the city flag, a California flag and the American flag. It was a beautiful day to spend in the park and it appeared everyone had a great time.
I got more than 500 photos which can all be found at http://www.gotbaddog.com/torrance-centennial-photos/
