Chief Terry Shaw Abides by mission statement or not?

    Mission Statement

The mission of the Weber County Sheriff's Law Enforcement Division is to protect the lives and property of all people we serve and preserve their constitutional rights. We recognize and respect the sacred confidence and trust the community has placed in us. We strive always to maintain a safe county with low levels of crime. The Weber County Sheriff's Office Law Enforcement Division believes that community partnerships and cooperation enhance the quality of police service. By partnering with other service organizations, schools, neighborhood groups, businesses, and concerned citizens, we will reduce crime and improve the quality of life in Weber County.

    About the Enforcement Division

The Weber County Sheriff's Office serves a community of nearly 200,000 people and has a sworn officer strength of over 100 deputy sheriffs. The deputies of the Law Enforcement Division work in one of the two Law Enforcement Bureaus, the Patrol Operations Bureau or the Investigations and Support Bureau. The Patrol Operations Bureau consists of Patrol, Special Operations, Traffic Enforcement, and Community Policing. The Investigations and Support Bureau contains the detectives, court services, animal control, CSI, narcotics task force, and many others. They also handle all special projects for the Sheriff's office.

The Enforcement Division is currently commanded by Chief Deputy Terry Shaw.

If the Enforcement Division is currently Commanded by Chief Deputy Terry Shaw? Why is it that he is allowing criminal officer's to continue their tenure in the Weber County Correction Facility. Officer's like John Halacy whom was arrested for Drunk Driving and is still working as an officer and is able to wear his uniform and display his badge that supposedly should be relieved of his duty. Then there's Daniel Halacy that has two prior Drunk Driving Arrest's, Sexually assault of his daughter and abuse and neglect of his children. Then Daniel lied under oath to secure a protective order against his wife after she was mentally and emotionally abused and decided to try and end the pain choosing to shoot herself to be free of his abuse. Daniel Halacy was turned in and a formal complaint was filed against Daniel Halacy for lying under oath and yet nothing was done. Instead Daniel lied and said that his wife pointed her gun at him. The police report for the attempted suicide of his wife was sent to the Sheriff office to prove he lied and still nothing was done. Daniel's Lawyer Roy D Cole took Daniel's word for the account of the shooting. In the police report Daniel did-not report that the gun was pointed at him and he was in his Deputy Uniform at the time. The police report cleared Daniel's wife of no harm and no foul to Daniel's well being.

If Daniel's wife's civil right's were not violated then Daniel would be on the other side of the bars. I think the mission statement is only word's and nothing less. The crime rate has increased by 30%. Drug's, Theft, Robberies, Domestic Violence, Drunk Driving among other crimes that is not mentioned.

How can we as a whole have faith in our policing agencies when they are criminals themselves? I am taking a stand by getting my stories out if nothing less. I find it a tragic management of policing when people are being discriminated against and beaten by officer's when the inmate is already handcuffed and leg chained.

Don't misunderstand, we do have people that are out of control and need to be managed with force but, not extreme force to the extent of permanent injury.
