    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     bschorn shot this video on Monday at 2:40 p.m. in midtown Manhattan. It's not clear yet if the collapse was due to winds from Hurricane Sandy. Go to for updates.

    I was taking a video of the storm and central park from my apartment when I heard the banging which was the boom arm of the crane on top of the 100 story building at 157 W 57th St across from Carnegie Hall.
