World Vision responds to Hurricane Sandy

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     WorldVision1 was supposed to have a media event at its Bronx, New York, warehouse, when water from the East River started pouring into the street.

PLEASE NOTE: Sandy is an extremely dangerous storm. We urge iReporters to take caution when documenting the storm and follow local guidance. For storm information specific to your area, please monitor warnings issued by your local National Weather Service forecast office.
    - dsashin, CNN iReport producer

Water from East Hudson River begins to spill over its banks and into the street in front of WV's NY warehouse. World Vision staff evacuates from Bronx due to rising flood waters, and taking relief supplies to Manhattan. The World Vision staff are pre-positioning 1500 relief supplies in New York City to respond to survivors impacted in the greater New York City area including flood clean-up kits, personal hygiene items and emergency food kits.
