    'Superstorm' Sandy: Your stories

    More from Bartlesome

    Tremendous water current: Sandy

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Bartlesome told me, 'That's right outside the front of my building. It was pretty scary for a while, the whole building was shaking in the wind. The building stopped shaking but we're stuck in here. I haven't dared go outside my apartment. The water is hopefully not rising. I'm on the 5th floor. Our whole building was shaking for over an hour.'

PLEASE NOTE: Sandy is an extremely dangerous storm. We urge iReporters to take caution when documenting the storm and follow local guidance. For storm information specific to your area, please monitor warnings issued by your local National Weather Service forecast office.
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

Here are sounds and view of enormous current flowing up E 96th St from the East River. Filmed by Beth Bartley at about 8 pm out the front door of her dark, rocking apartment building.
