    'Superstorm' Sandy: Your stories

    More from AnitaCassini

    Sandy floods midtown.

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     AnitaCassini told me, 'There is not a lot of storm noise in this building since we have those double noise reduction anti-wind type. When we lost electricity I looked out the window and saw the first flooded car. A while passed and one of the doormen came up and asked me to knock on everyone's door to let them know that the lobby was flooded and we should not go down there.'

PLEASE NOTE: Sandy is an extremely dangerous storm. We urge iReporters to take caution when documenting the storm and follow local guidance. For storm information specific to your area, please monitor warnings issued by your local National Weather Service forecast office.
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

In Midtown Manhattan, the East River overflow caused flooding in apartment buildings. The water covered some cars and others started drifting from their parking spaces into the middle of the street due to the strength of the water.
