    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     calebjc told me, 'I expect heavier rain and wind for the next few hours, but so far in our sheltered neighborhood we've been spared any damage or loss of power. About 500 houses in town did lose power.'

    Our town had just under 500 houses without power at around 7pm tonight from downed trees. Our neighborhood is sheltered from wind and on high ground, so we're only experiencing gusts and rain.

    Our son, Shaw, turns 6 months old tonight, so he's going to help with this report.
