    Storm Surge

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter Nikolge captured this video of water sluicing through the lobby of his Jersey City riverside apartment building as alarms went off inside. The surge of water from the Hudson river into his apartment building had receded but the noise of the siren - warning inhabitants not to use the elevators - and the water sloshing around the building made for an unusual scene. "It was very eerie and creepy," he said. "I had to go down 100 steps to check everything was OK as the elevators weren't working."

PLEASE NOTE: Sandy is an extremely dangerous storm. We urge iReporters to take caution when documenting the storm and follow local guidance. For storm information specific to your area, please monitor warnings issued by your local National Weather Service forecast office.
