    Police Block Off Street as Collapsed House is Cleared

    A police officer makes sure no one gets passed him as firefighters and rescue workers scrap off the remaining parts of a collapsed building in Chelsea Monday evening. Nobody was harmed in the collapse. Most of 8th Ave. between 14th and 15th St. was closed off while the building was worked on. Strong gales and torrential downpours made visibility and communication difficult and working conditions dangerous.
